Issuing A Sidewalk Occupancy Permit

This proactive e-service on the Balady platform allows businesses to expand their commercial activities by temporarily renting the sidewalk in front of their establishment. The permit is linked to the establishment's commercial license, eliminating the need to visit the relevant authority. Upon cancellation of the commercial license, any related sidewalk occupancy permits will also be automatically canceled.

Specify the establishment’s registration details and select the license.
Complete the required data.
Submit the request to the municipality.
Pay the fees after the municipality approves the request.

A certified plan from an engineering office.
A photograph of the seating area on-site.
Architectural plan (floor plan).
Architectural plan (section view).
Architectural plan (perspective view).
Investment contract if the sidewalk is municipal property (investment-based).

Fees are calculated according to the municipal fees regulations
The developed sidewalk requirements guide for each city must be adhered to, if available.
The shop license must be valid.
The permit is automatically cancelled upon expiration.
