In the Kingdom’s efforts towards facilitating a society built on knowledge, speed of response, and interactivity; taking into account the ever-increasing urgency of time, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of mobile government services, making them an extension of government services offered, as they are available to their audience at any time, from any place, through a variety of smart devices (smartphones, computers, laptops, PDAs, etc.).
This digitization allows for accurately assessing the resources and capabilities available to each government entity, in addition to serving a larger segment of the audience; thereby contributing to improving the quality of life, as well as transitioning to a green, environmentally-friendly system of government.
Saudi Arabia is aware of the importance of the internet nowadays, especially for government e-services, and the need for access to these services at any time. The government offers free internet for some websites, places, and seasons.

The Kingdom cares to provide all the services that the pilgrim may need during the performance of the Hajj ritual in accordance with the necessities of time and place. The Internet today is one of the necessities that the pilgrim may need to continue, modify or end the Hajj journey in general. Through the Internet, the pilgrim can access government applications and other applications that facilitate and help them to complete the ritual. Therefore, the Kingdom, in cooperation with service providers, provides free Wi-Fi hotspots in the locations relate to the ritual of hajj, and works to cover the high use of the internet during the Hajj period.
