In the Kingdom’s efforts towards facilitating a society built on knowledge, speed of response, and interactivity; taking into account the ever-increasing urgency of time, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of mobile government services, making them an extension of government services offered, as they are available to their audience at any time, from any place, through a variety of smart devices (smartphones, computers, laptops, PDAs, etc.).
 

• The user is introduced to the nature of the service, how to obtain it, and how long it will take.

• Submitting a request to receive the service.

• Going through the steps, filling the necessary information, and paying fees (if applicable).

• Comprehensive services: the user receives the desired outcome.

This digitization allows for accurately assessing the resources and capabilities available to each government entity, in addition to serving a larger segment of the audience; thereby contributing to improving the quality of life, as well as transitioning to a green, environmentally-friendly system of government.

• General healthy and safety: Citizens in previously inaccessible areas can receive health assistance, follow-up, notifications and alerts in medical emergencies via mobile services.
• Education: Teachers can provide content to students in primary schools and include students' grades through mobile technology. Students will be able to see test scores and study decision information and parents can receive notifications if their children are out of school.

Saudi Arabia is aware of the importance of the internet nowadays, especially for government e-services, and the need for access to these services at any time. The government offers free internet for some websites, places, and seasons. 
Free Access to Government E-Services:

Internet service providers in Saudi Arabia allow their users to access some government services and websites at no charge. These are:

The Public WiFi Hotspots

The Communications and Information Technology Commission has deployed free Wi-Fi hotspots in a number of public places, reaching 60,000 points throughout the Kingdom. It worked with Internet service providers to provide coverage maps on the company's website or through its application.

Distance learning

In order to enable students and teachers to continue the educational process in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to transform the educational process into distance education, the Kingdom represented by the Communications and Information Technology Commission has directed Internet service providers in Saudi Arabia to provide free access to government educational platforms, which are the unified education system and the national education portal (IEN). More

Internet During Hajj

The Kingdom cares to provide all the services that the pilgrim may need during the performance of the Hajj ritual in accordance with the necessities of time and place. The Internet today is one of the necessities that the pilgrim may need to continue, modify or end the Hajj journey in general. Through the Internet, the pilgrim can access government applications and other applications that facilitate and help them to complete the ritual. Therefore, the Kingdom, in cooperation with service providers, provides free Wi-Fi hotspots in the locations relate to the ritual of hajj, and works to cover the high use of the internet during the Hajj period.
