The Communications and Information Technology Commission has deployed free Wi-Fi hotspots in a number of public places, reaching 60,000 points throughout the Kingdom. It worked with Internet service providers to provide coverage maps on the company's website or through its application.

In order to enable students and teachers to continue the educational process in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to transform the educational process into distance education, the Kingdom represented by the Communications and Information Technology Commission has directed Internet service providers in Saudi Arabia to provide free access to government educational platforms, which are the unified education system and the national education portal (IEN). Internet During Hajj

The Kingdom cares to provide all the services that the pilgrim may need during the performance of the Hajj ritual in accordance with the necessities of time and place. The Internet today is one of the necessities that the pilgrim may need to continue, modify or end the Hajj journey in general. Through the Internet, the pilgrim can access government applications and other applications that facilitate and help them to complete the ritual. Therefore, the Kingdom, in cooperation with service providers, provides free Wi-Fi hotspots in the locations relate to the ritual of hajj, and works to cover the high use of the internet during the Hajj period.
