HRH Crown Prince Issues Supreme Order Forming King Saud University's Board of Directors

Jeddah, SPA: In line with the Royal Order to transform King Saud University into an independent non-profit academic institution under the auspices of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), as directed by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who also serves as the Chairman of the RCRC's Board of Directors, a Supreme Order has been issued by HRH the Crown Prince to form the university's Board of Directors.Under the terms of the Supreme Order, Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan assumes the position of Chairman of the university's Board of Directors, with the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development serving as the Vice Chairman.The remaining members of the Board of Directors include the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, the President of King Saud University, the President of the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA), Fahd Bin Abdulmohsen Al-Rasheed, the CEO of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, the Governor of the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), the CEO of Riyadh Non-Profit Foundation, the President of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), the CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Chambers of Commerce, the representative of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Salman bin Mutaib Al-Sudairi, Tal bin Hisham Nazer, and Jomana bint Rashid Al-Rashid.On this momentous occasion, the Chairman of the University's Board of Directors, Al-Bunyan, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince for issuing the Supreme Order to form the new board of directors for King Saud University and entrusting him with the position of chairman.Furthermore, he applauded the unwavering support of the wise leadership towards higher education in the Kingdom and reiterated the Board's dedication to achieving a significant advancement in the university's journey. This progress will be driven by the principles of empowerment, excellence, and quality, all while enhancing the educational and research processes in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
