Cityscape conference inaugurates today in Jeddah

E-Media:Jeddah - Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah patronizes today the three-day exhibition and conference "Cityscape Saudi Arabia 2009" for real estate development with a participation of more than 100 companies expected to exhibit over 10,000 square metres at Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events (JCFE).Cityscape Saudi Arabia is aimed at regional and international investors, real estate developers, government and development authorities, architects, designers, consultants and senior professionals involved in the real estate industry, said Deep Marwaha, event director of Cityscape Saudi Arabia. It will also be an arena to showcase projects and network with investors and developers from around the world. The conference witnesses a participation of governor of the Saudia Arabia General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Amr A. Al-Dabbagh who will highlight the importance of the economic future of the cities of Saudi Arabia and Dr. Abdul Aziz Khudairi, deputy governor of Makkah, who will present a working paper on the development of Makkah.“The Conference will feature a number of panel discussions on the long-term effects of environmental work in Saudi Arabia, in addition to the effects of the global financial crisis on real estate investment and development in the Kingdom,” said Dr. Abdullah Al-Marei Bin Mahfouz, Vice-President of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He added that the latest developments on the regulation of real estate and real estate law and investment opportunities, compliant with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, will also be discussed.
