NCA Concludes Second Edition of Cybersecurity Capability Development Program for Judges

Riyadh, SPA: The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has concluded the second edition of its capability development program for judges in cybersecurity, designed to enhance their skills and judicial effectiveness while strengthening the protection of cyberspace in Saudi Arabia, as part of the second phase of the CyberIC program aimed at advancing the country's cybersecurity sector.The program, held at the National Cybersecurity Academy in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and NCA's technical arm, the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), lasted six months and saw the participation of over 500 judges from the Ministry of Justice. It focused on addressing the cybersecurity needs and priorities of judicial entities, covering essential cybersecurity concepts, stages of investigation, procedures related to evidence request, collection and preservation, as well as hands-on simulations of emerging cyber threats.Furthermore, the program included specialized training courses to facilitate discussions among participants on best practices and experiences related to local and international cybersecurity laws and regulations.As the designated cybersecurity authority in Saudi Arabia, the NCA plays a central role in overseeing all cybersecurity matters in the country. Its objective is to enhance cybersecurity to safeguard the vital interests and national security of the Kingdom, protect critical infrastructure and key sectors, and develop specialized national cybersecurity capabilities. Additionally, the authority engages in the development of cybersecurity educational and training programs.
