More than 5 million travelers were served through King Abdulaziz International Airport during the peak Umrah season of the year 1446H

Jeddah - SPA: King Abdulaziz International Airport has announced record-breaking operational figures, having served approximately 5.3 million passengers during the peak Umrah season, spanning from Ramadan 1 to Shawwal 7, 1446 AH.Eng. Mazen bin Mohammed Johar, CEO of Jeddah Airports Company, stated that this Umrah peak season witnessed the precise execution of operational plans, which contributed to the swift completion of procedures for pilgrims and significantly reduced waiting times in processing areas, in line with the growing number of Umrah travelers arriving through the airport terminals.He highlighted that King Abdulaziz International Airport successfully handled around 5.3 million passengers through 31,500 flights, and managed the handling of 6.4 million pieces of luggage.He added: "The successful implementation of the airport’s operational plans would not have been possible without the grace of Allah Almighty, followed by the guidance of the wise leadership – may Allah protect them – and the continuous support from the Emirate of Makkah Region, His Excellency the Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and the CEO of Matarat Holding, all of whom continuously monitor the quality of services provided to the Guests of Allah."He also praised the efforts of all entities working at the airport without exception, who formed a unified, team-based ecosystem working under one umbrella to honor the Kingdom in serving the Guests of Allah.
