2025-02-12
Riyadh, SPA: The Digital Government Authority (DGA) has launched the unified design system (Platforms Code), which is the national reference for designing and developing government platform interfaces in the Kingdom. The aim is to standardize interfaces to ensure a consistent and comprehensive digital experience, and enhance user satisfaction. The Platforms Code was announced on Sunday by DGA at a function attended by ministers and digital transformation leaders from the public and private sectors. DGA Governor Eng. Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan said that the Platforms Code conforms with local and international digital standards, and is an important step that helps a comprehensive digital transformation at government entities, enabling them to accelerate a sustainable digital transformation. He also said that the step will help offer more efficient and effective digital services, conform with the strategic directions of digital governance. According to DGA, it provides an open-source design system that supports digital projects at government entities by integrating code, design tools, and guidelines based on a community-driven approach. This facilitates the rapid development of consistent experiences and enables designers and developers to focus on meeting-specific needs using pre-built assets. Also launched at the function was the "Digital Saudi Strategy" aimed at enabling the growth of the digital economy, and public and private sectors to showcase their products more widely. As part of the strategy, the "Digital Transformation Ambassador" amplifies the impact of digital transformation efforts by appointing ambassadors to foster an integrated digital community, said DGA.
