SAFF Signs Agreement to Launch FIFA/CIES Sports Management Programme in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, SPA: The Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) signed a strategic partnership agreement in Riyadh on Sunday with the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) and King Saud University (KSU) to launch the FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management in Saudi Arabia.The program, set to begin in Riyadh in the coming months, aims to provide participants with key insights into the business, financial, and legal aspects of sports, as well as modern administrative operations in global sports. It is part of SAFF's educational initiatives to develop diverse academic programs within Saudi football. This partnership supports efforts to grow the game at all levels, from grassroots to professional, in collaboration with member associations in Asia and beyond.Acting President of KSU Prof. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Salman stated that the university is now the 20th educational institution worldwide to host the international program. He added that the program will enable participants to learn the fundamentals of modern sports management, including football.CIES President Pierre Cornu emphasized that this partnership comes at a time when sports organizations face many challenges in training and education. He noted that the FIFA/CIES program will help train a new generation of managers to enhance Saudi Arabia's global role in sports.
