GCA President Participates in GCC Supreme Audit Institutions Meeting

Riyadh, SPA: The 20th meeting of the heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries took place today in Muscat, Oman, with the participation of the General Court of Audit (GCA) President Dr. Hussam Al-Angari, leading the GCA delegation.The agenda of the meeting encompassed crucial discussions on various pertinent topics, including updates to the joint work manuals for performance audits, IT audits, and privatization audits. Additionally, the governance audit manual and the audit reporting manual were also deliberated upon.Moreover, significant attention was dedicated to formulating a comprehensive training plan for the financial audit and accounting personnel in the GCC countries for 2024-2025. Concurrently, the meeting focused on finalizing the operational plan aligned with the strategic training framework.This meeting exemplifies the commitment to fortify existing cooperation and foster knowledge exchange among the auditing authorities in the GCC nations. Such collaboration significantly strengthens the cooperative fabric and synergistic endeavours among the sister nations.
