"More than 80 government agencies are providing digital certification services"
- NCDC's mandates revolve around issuing and overseeing digital certificates through an integrated secure system (technology and security devices - software - laws and legislation). Such system aims to manage digital keys utilized to maintain the confidentiality of information exchanged and verify the identity of its users. In addition, NCDC upholds preserving data's safety so that any attempts at tampering can be detected, and to manage the processes and transactions of digital signatures. These features are pivotal to e-government transactions, e-commerce, and other electronic networking applications.
- All of the aforementioned mandates are stipulated in e-Government Regulations and by-laws issued by His Excellency the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Resolution No. (2) dated 10/3/1429 AH, which also affirms its affiliation with Yesser.
