Establishing a civil society organization

National Center for Non-Profit Sector

This service allows citizens or legal entities to establish a civil society organization without the need to review the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development.

Log in to the platform via NAFAZ Access.
Click on the button for services of establishing non-profit entities.
Select the type of entity "Civic Association - Civic Foundation - Family Fund".
Define the membership of the entity founder "Entity Founder - Authorized for Establishment Only".
Specify the status of the applicant "Natural - Legal".
Add the entity name in Arabic.
Add the entity name in English.
Choose the main entity classification and the first and second sub-classifications.
Define the goals and activities of the entity, attaching the supporting documents for this purpose.
Add the entity's headquarters and its geographic scope of operation.
Determine the terms for the Executive Director.
Specify the duration of the first term of the Board of Trustees and the durations of subsequent terms.
Display member information.
Fill out the disclosure form.
Add the members of the entity and their positions.
Review and submit the application.
After the application is submitted and the members approve joining the entity, it is reviewed by the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector and also by supervisory and competent authorities to issue the establishment decision.

It is required that the member holds Saudi nationality.
The member must possess full legal capacity.
There must be at least one founder who is either a natural or legal person.
The board of trustees must consist of at least three members.
It is required that the person has not been finally convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude or breach of trust, unless they have been legally rehabilitated.

Attach the approval of the National Center for Non-Profit for the establishment of an entity by a governmental juridical party if the applicant's status is governmental juridical.
Attach the documents and experience certificates relevant to the entity's specialization are required for each member of the entity.
Attach the the business plan, programs, and activities specific to the entity.
