SFDA Launches Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at LEAP25

Riyadh, SPA: The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) CEO Dr. Hisham Aljadhey launched an Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL) at LEAP25 on Wednesday. The laboratory will serve as a specialized center for developing and implementing artificial intelligence technologies to enhance innovation and optimize regulatory and operational processes within the SFDA.The launch of SAIL underscores the SFDA's commitment to advancing technical innovation and exploring AI applications across its areas of work. The lab analyzes proposed ideas based on feasibility and data availability, providing recommendations for broader implementation if they meet the required criteria, thereby accelerating the integration of technical solutions.This initiative marks a significant step toward incorporating AI technologies into the SFDA's operations.
